I am a mom of a curious little 3-year-old who loves to explore, question, and play with cars and construction trucks. But before my son even turned one, he was diagnosed with mild to moderate eczema.
As a first-time mom, I did what many of us do—I panicked and researched endlessly. I bought every “eczema-friendly” cream, lotion, and body wash I could find. Some helped, many didn’t, and the ones that worked were shockingly expensive.
When flare-ups got bad, I turned to doctor-prescribed steroid creams. They helped in the moment but never solved the root issue. Over time I also learned that long-term steroid use can disrupt the skin’s natural microbiome and sometimes cause discoloration, which made me even more determined to find a gentler, lasting approach. My little boy became my tiny test subject as I tried product after product, hoping to find real relief.
A Two-Part Home Remedy
At some point I stepped back and simplified. I focused on two things:
Gut-friendly foods: I added more prebiotics and probiotics to his diet to support skin health from the inside out.
Oat-based skincare: I gave him gentle oatmeal soaks and looked for soothing, natural ingredients.
This was also when a bigger idea took shape. I began experimenting with soap recipes alongside my sister and father. My goal was clear: to formulate a skincare line with products gentle enough for babies yet effective for adults—especially those with eczema and other sensitive skin concerns. At the heart of this line would always be natural, skin-friendly ingredients suitable for all skin types.
Creating Goat-Milk & Honey Soap
After months of testing, we created our Goat-Milk & Honey Soap—a bar designed with toddlers and eczema-prone skin in mind. It’s made with pure oils instead of harsh detergents or sulfates, so the cleansing is gentle and skin friendly.
Key ingredients and their benefits:
Goat milk: Rich in fatty acids and vitamins, it nourishes and soothes dry, sensitive skin.
Coconut oil: Naturally moisturizing and helps strengthen the skin barrier—ideal for eczema-prone skin.
Olive oil: Packed with antioxidants and healthy fats that deeply hydrate, protect against moisture loss, and calm irritation.
Castor oil: Adds natural cleansing power while helping skin retain moisture, leaving it soft and supple.
Honey: A natural humectant and mild antibacterial, honey locks in hydration and keeps skin soothed.
The result? A soap that cleans without stripping and keeps delicate skin soft, nourished, and healthy.
For Grown-Ups, a Gentle Exfoliating Twist
Adults need pampering, too! We developed a Goat-Milk, Honey & Oat Exfoliating Soap—the same nourishing base with finely ground oats for mild exfoliation. It’s gentle enough for sensitive skin but provides the deeper cleanse that grown-up skin sometimes needs.
Life After the Switch
Today my son’s skin looks and feels healthier .Is his eczema gone? No—but we no longer deal with painful flare-ups and I can say his eczema is mostly at bay.
Even my husband, who has very dry skin, loves the Exfoliating Honey & Oats Soap. The combination of goat milk, honey, and ground oats gives him a thorough yet gentle cleanse, helping his skin stay moisturized and preventing painful cracks.
As a mom, that relief is priceless.
A Humble Thank-You
This journey started with worry and late-night research, and it has turned into something beautiful: soaps and skincare that care for the most delicate skin, including my own family’s.
I share our story not as medical advice, but as a mother and a soap maker, hoping it gives other parents comfort and a gentler option.
From our home to yours, thank you for letting us be part of your daily care routine. 💛
